Where do I find WA mountain bike race results?

Every published WA mountain bike race result is here. Open the Races page to browse by year, use the search to jump straight to a race or rider, and open any race for full category placings and — where the format has them — per-stage, per-lap or per-day times. Coverage spans the WA Gravity Enduro (WAGE), the Perth Mountain Bike Club (PMBC) cross-country state series and championships (XCO and XCM), the Peel Districts Mountain Bike Club (PDMBC) downhill state series, the Albany Summer Gravity Series, Cape to Cape MTB, Karri Cup, the Karratha XC series, Dwellingup 100, Kalamunda 50 and standalone events — with older races added as sources are digitised. What does Provisional mean on a race result?

Accepted Answer

"Provisional" means the timing provider has published the results but the organiser hasn't declared them final — placings and times can still be corrected, so the record may change. Race pages carry the provisional label when the source marks it (SiTiming pages declare "Provisional" in their title; organiser uploads declare it on commit). When the organiser publishes the final version the same race page updates in place — the link doesn't change — and the race's version history records each publish.

How do I claim my rider profile?

Find your profile on the Riders index and tap Create your account on the "Is this you?" card — a free account links that rider to you in about a minute. Search your name and open your rider profile. Create a free account (or sign in) — the profile attaches automatically. Your profile gets the "me" badge and podiums and race cards mark your results. Claiming a rider isn't verified — anyone can pick any profile — so it only affects your own view: name display, comparisons and the "me" marker. Change or clear it any time in Settings.

Are race results permanent and can I link to them?

Yes — every race and rider page has a permanent canonical address. Cite it, share it, link it: the URLs are the permanent record and old-style links redirect to them forever. Race pages live at readable addresses like /races/wage-2026-r6-linga-longa and rider pages at /riders/<rider-slug>. Older numeric links redirect (301) to the canonical address, so nothing already published or shared breaks. Organisers: linking your race's results page is the intended way to point entrants at the official record — the deepest, most useful link wins over a link to the homepage. Where does MTB WA Race Results get its results data?

Results come from the official timing platform each series uses — SiTiming, RaceTec, my.raceresult, RacesOnline / Webscorer and others — imported with organiser approval, or uploaded directly by clubs. Every race page credits its source. The source link on each race page goes back to the timing platform's original record, so you can always check a result against the provider's copy. Nothing is entered by hand: if a race isn't here it's because no official source has been published or approved for import yet. How do I submit or correct a race result?

Spotted an error in a result — a misspelled name, a wrong placing, a missing race? Email results@mtbwa.com.au with the race, the rider and what needs fixing, and it goes to the organiser or through our corrections review. Corrections land on the same race page — provisional results update in place, and final results get corrected through the timing source or an admin fix, so links stay valid. Organisers: the Event admin portal is the self-serve path — upload corrected results as a CSV and the season standings recompute (see the uploading results article). What's the difference between a series and a season?

A series is the recurring competition — the name riders recognise year after year. A season is one edition of it, usually a calendar year (some seasons cross New Year's Eve and carry two year labels). Each season has its own rounds, its own standings, and — on the organiser side — its own scoring rules. A season can follow another season's rules exactly ("same rules as"), or carry its own. How do race series standings work?

Each race in a season awards points per finishing position (or listed status), per points group — the table the series publishes (for example a common elite / expert / sport / club split, or a custom one). Most series don't count every round: a "best X of Y" rule keeps each rider's best X round scores and drops the rest, so a missed or bad round doesn't end a title fight. Dropped scores still show in the standings table, just dimmed. When two riders finish level on points a tiebreaker decides the rank — commonly the count of wins, then the best last-round result, per the series' published rules. Tied rows show a tiebreak note.

What is the difference between scoring rules and event rules?

Two different things share the word "rules": Scoring rules (what the organiser portal edits) are how this app turns results into standings — points tables, rounds that count, tiebreakers, which categories map to which group. Event rules are the organiser's official competition rules — eligibility, safety, penalties. Where a series publishes them, the scoring setup links out to the official document; this app never rewrites them. If a scoring detail here contradicts the official rules, the official document wins — tell the organiser so the scoring config can be corrected.

How do organisers upload race results?

Club members and managers can upload race results as a CSV. Pick the series and season first (the context bar on Event admin keeps your active pair), then: Stage — drop the CSV. The service parses it and proposes matches: the round it belongs to and the riders already on file. Match — confirm the race it attaches to (or create a new one seeded from your active season) and check the rider matches; unknown riders can be linked or created. Commit — the results land and the season's standings recompute. Race matching is scoped to your active season's year labels — a round from another season won't swallow your file by accident.

How do season scoring rules work for organisers?

Rules are per season. The editor's tab strip lists every season of the series; each is in one of three states: own rules (the season carries its own scoring setup and can be edited directly), same as another season (read-only until you copy to this season and edit), or not set (start fresh, copy from another season, or inherit one). Dependants. Editing a season other seasons inherit changes them too — the editor warns and names the affected seasons before saving. The same applies to a shared points table: a table can live once and be referenced by many seasons, so editing it recomputes every season that uses it. Members and managers can both edit rules and upload results; only roster management is restricted to managers.

How do I link to my race's results page?

Link straight to each race's results page — every race and rider address is permanent and canonical, and old-style links redirect to the canonical address forever. Every race page carries a Link this result card with everything you need. Permanent link — copy the race's canonical address (like /races/wage-2026-r6-linga-longa) from the card, or per round from your season hub in Event admin. Suggested link text — a ready-made HTML link naming the race, e.g. "WAGE 2026 R6 results — MTB WA Race Results". Podium badge — a small static card showing the podium for your current filter selection and a "Full results here" link. It's plain HTML you paste into your site — no script, nothing injected. Pick the look (light or dark), the podium depth (top 3, 5, 10 or 20) and whether men and women share one podium or get their own — then copy the HTML, or download the same card (or every category at once, single images or a grid sheet) as PNGs with a QR code back to the results. The guarantee: /races/{slug} and /riders/{slug} are the permanent canonical addresses — corrected and re-published results update the same page in place, so a link you post never rots.
